Advertising Information Services (AIS)

Nielsen Media AIS monitors advertising activity and is the industry currency for advertising expenditure estimates and volume measurement across all mainstream media; covering Television, Newspapers, consumer Magazines, Radio, Cinema, Outdoor, Business to Business publications and Direct Mail. AIS also provides MediaPix Creative Tracking Services (TVPix, PrintPix, MailPix and B2BPix) which are web based surveillance tools that provide creative executions linked to media activity data. This unique service covers all major metropolitan Television markets, metropolitan and major Regional Newspapers, leading consumer Magazines, Specialist publications and Direct Mail.

Panorama
Panorama helps clients to better understand consumer usage of products and services, by providing insights they can act on and the market understanding for profitable customer growth. Panorama surveys media habits, lifestyles, attitudes and product consumption at a local market level, as well as offering an Asia Pacific level through Nielsen Media Index and globally, through our partnership with BMRB (TGI). Panorama enables profiling insights on consumers needs and targeting of advertising campaigns through planning and evaluating integrated media campaigns. Surveys track the media consumption of television, newspapers and magazines, radio listening, cinema visits, exposure to outdoor sites, public transport usage and internet surfing. .

Radio Audience Measurement
Nielsen Media is the official contractor for radio audience surveys in all Metro markets throughout Australia, with Radio Audience surveys also conducted for various regional markets. Across Australia, our Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) services help users to better understand the characteristics and listening preferences of radio audiences. Our clients can identify favourite programmes, peak listening times, which target audiences are tuning in when, and how many are switching stations and when. Radio ratings provide a common currency to buy and sell radio airtime, plan programming, publicity and promotions as well as assist strategists, researchers and planner/buyers in agencies.

Regional Television Audience Diaries
Television ratings are the numeric estimate of a television viewing audience. They provide the television and advertising industry with a currency to buy and sell television airtime, and to plan and schedule television programmes. Nielsen Media the industry currency for television ratings in Regional Diary markets, which are not included as part of the regional television people meter markets. Due to the remoteness and geographical size of these markets, diary markets were initially known as ‘solus’ markets, however these markets now have at least two commercial stations.

Retail Measurement
Our Retail Measurement Services (RMS) provide continuous tracking of product sales to consumers, based on information gathered at the retail point-of-sale. Clients receive detailed information on sales, market shares, distribution, pricing and merchandising and promotional activities. RMS information is available in more than 80 countries.

Consumer Panel
Consumer Panel research tracks the purchasing behaviour of consumers in over 125,000 households in 24 countries worldwide, primarily through the use of in-home scanners. Panel information reveals consumers’ purchasing from all outlets they visit and provides insights into who is buying, methods of payment, use of coupons and participation in frequent shopper programs.

Assortment and In-Store Space
